April Track

It has been fun having Bowen and Rex on the same track team this year. At some of the meets, they ran on the 4x400 team together. That was awesome!

Happy Birthday, Hunk

I took this guy to lunch at the barbecue place for his birthday, and they brought him out a sundae with a candle, put beads and a hat on him, and sang. The funny part was, I didn't tell them it was his birthday! Weird perk of living in a small town I suppose.

Page Prom

In April, Drake invited his friend, Kaylee to go to the Prom with him. He froze his invitation in a block of ice. She took several days to send back her answer and I think Drake was on pins and needles the whole time.

She finally sent a response in keeping with the theme he had started.

Unlike when they went to Homecoming together in the fall, they arranged to go with a group of friends that kept on changing up to the very last minute. They all had dinner together at the Canyon King and then dressed up to go boogie the night away at Antelope Marina. I was permitted to come to Kaylee's house to get some photos and then to another friend's house to get group shots. They all looked fantastic!

I even ventured out to Antelope to see them in the promenade. They have an announcer that says the names of each couple as they enter the venue. Lots of parents and friends and family take pictures like they are paparazzi or something. It's funny. Since I couldn't talk Theo into going out for that, Shandiin came along to check the kids out. We couldn't resist posing for a nostalgia picture ourselves!

The Big One Two Punch

So it is official, Rex has turned 12! This is such a big deal since this is when boys in our church leave behind Primary and move into Young Men. Rex was also interviewed by our bishop, Bishop Jensen and found worthy and prepared to receive the priesthood. This is so exciting.

One of the most special things about Rex turning 12 was the way he received the priesthood. We had the wonderful occasion to have our oldest son Drake ordain our youngest son Rex. It was so special.

Happy birthday, young man!

Stucco Part 1

At the beginning of April, we were ready to start putting on the foam that goes under the stucco. With the outside framing all done, the house had really taken shape!
